Educator, theater director, writer, and community organizer leader. She is the writer and artistic director of several children's plays. In Petare (Caracas) one of the most dangerous favelas in Latin America, she founded a free-of-cost Theater School for kids and teenagers. Based on this experience, she was selected for the International Visitor Leadership Program Promoting Social Change Through the Arts of the U.S. Department of State and was part of the Theatre Communications Group “Rising of Leaders of Color Round 4”. Vyana was also the co-founder and co-owner of Lugar Común Bookstores. Since 2018 she is the Director of Education of Miami New Drama, an award-winning company based in Miami, where she lives.
